For the production of its electric SUV, Audi had invested EUR 600 million in its plant in Vorst (Brussels). This was to be the first battery factory in Belgium and Audi sought a party with suitable knowledge and expertise for such a large, specialised project. The well-known German car manufacturer opted for Imtech, which was able to complete the project in a very short timeframe. In addition to constructing its own battery factory, Audi also enlarged its bodywork department, paint shop and assembly line for the production of the e-tron.
