Bruggeske Kapellen

On 18 March 2023, 'Bruggeske', the new municipal building on Hoevensebaan in Kapellen that includes a new administrative centre with social house, leisure office and a service centre, was officially opened by Prime Minister of Belgium Alexander De Croo and Mayor Dirk Van Mechelen.

The site was acquired back in 1985. In 2009, it had to be completely remediated due to historical pollution caused by the former laundry. This action resulted in the ambitious project that stands there today.

The project was carried out by Cordeel as a PPP project (Public-Private Partnership).
This project is another fine example of vertical integration at Cordeel Group. C-concrete supplied the precast hollow walls, coloured façade elements and sandwich walls with stone strips. C-wood provided the custom-made furniture including the imposing counter. The steel parapets and handles were provided by C-metal. Imtech was responsible for the electrical installations.
