Amazon AULA on Blue Gate Antwerp opens its doors

On 28 September 2022, Amazon's first Belgian branch at the Antwerp Urban Logistic Accomodation (AULA) was commissioned.

This project includes a logistics centre on the Blue Gate Antwerp business park, Belgian's first circular, eco-efficient, water-bound business park. From this location, Amazon will serve both the city centre and the wider Antwerp area.

Amazon's latest delivery station is on its way to an 'Excellent' BREEAM certification (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method). The sustainable building consists of a warehouse (5,764 m²), mezzanine (517 m²), office space (2,157 m²) and a parking building (40,000 m²). The delivery station was developed by Montea, since 2016 the exclusive partner for the development of the logistics zone at Blue Gate Antwerp. In 2021, Montea already developed a similar project for Amazon near Amsterdam.

The warehouses are already being filled and the first deliveries are a on their way.

Cordeel Belgium realised this project together with its sister companies C-concrete , C-metal, C-wood, Baeck Cladding, C-fire and C-rental.
