Cordeel Group unites various entities under Cordeel Belgium and appoints Thomas De Loof as co-CEO

Construction company streamlines operations with an eye on the future and opts for a complementary CEO duo

Cordeel Headquarters Temse and Cordeel Headquarters Hoeselt are joining forces to operate as Cordeel Belgium starting in 2026. Together with Bernard Construction, led by Philippe Beaujean and now fully integrated within the group, they form a unified construction collective with national strength, ready to take on an even more prominent role within the Belgian construction sector. To reinforce that ambition, the newly formed entity is also appointing Thomas De Loof (ex-Dell) as co-CEO, alongside the familiar face of current CEO Kevin De Hainaut.

A single, streamlined, and solid construction company with a clearly defined vision, transparent roles, and a strong leadership team: that is what Cordeel Belgium will stand for from January 1, 2026. The idea behind it is clear: joining forces to build faster, smarter, and more sustainably.

“With Cordeel Belgium, we are taking a decisive step toward a future where, as one integrated construction company, we not only build faster, smarter, and more sustainably, but can also respond more effectively and flexibly to the challenges of tomorrow. By connecting our entities, we create more than scale: we strengthen our strategic power by bringing together talent, expertise, and innovation. In this transformation, our people are central. It is their craftsmanship, collaboration, and ambition that enable us to leverage digitalization as a lever for growth and to embed operational excellence as the foundation of every decision we make.”  - Pascale Van Damme, CEO Cordeel Group

With Cordeel Belgium, we continue to build on a decades-long ambition: to create a strong construction company that adds value at every step of the process. Vertical integration, digitalization, and operational excellence are not goals in themselves but the levers that allow us to innovate faster, take responsibility, and remain agile in a rapidly changing sector. This is the next logical step in our growth story: one company, one direction, one future.” - Filip Cordeel, Chairman Cordeel Group

“This is not a merger of structures, but an accelerated movement toward one powerful organization that is ready for the future. Together, we are building a platform where our employees can grow, clients can trust, and partners can rely—today and in the long term.” - Pascale Van Damme, CEO Cordeel Group

Complementary co-CEOs

To support current CEO Kevin De Hainaut, Thomas De Loof is appointed as co-CEO. De Loof, who joins from Dell Technologies and previously worked at IBM, brings over 15 years of international leadership experience in building and coaching teams, managing KPIs and profitability, and simplifying complex processes.

With the co-CEO model, Cordeel Belgium deliberately chooses complementarity: strong market orientation on one hand, and a robust internal backbone on the other.

Kevin De Hainaut remains the trusted face and figurehead for clients and projects. He leads the commercial division, managing preconstruction and tenders with a focus on collaborative construction and Design & Build. In doing so, he ensures a healthy and strategically sound project pipeline and represents Cordeel Belgium in the market.

Co-CEO Thomas De Loof, on the other hand, will form the backbone of the organization. With a focus on clear reporting and cost control, strong contract management, and a smart, group-wide procurement approach, he will ensure transparent KPI monitoring and consistent processes across teams—supported by further digitalization of workflows. His business acumen, combined with a focus on innovation and sustainability as catalysts for growth, will strengthen the link between finance and operations.

“As co-CEO, I am starting with a clear ambition: to make Cordeel even stronger. I bring a strong focus on structure, profitability, and quality, with constant attention to people and collaboration. Cordeel combines entrepreneurship with strong ambition—the kind of environment that energizes me. With a data-driven approach and operational excellence, we can accelerate in innovation, sustainability, and customer value,” says co-CEO Thomas De Loof.

Strategic decisions in consultation

Thomas and Kevin will make strategic decisions together, in consultation with COO Matias Raymaekers, who oversees daily operations as well as ongoing digitalization.
