Cordeel Group launches its 2022 sustainability report

On March 20, C-concrete and C-metal welcomed the colleagues of TM ROCO, the team building the right bank of the Oosterweel project, for the second edition of the ROCO Showcase. During this inspiring day, they received an exclusive guided tour through the production halls of both companies.

Cordeel Belgium proudly contributed to the realization of the new parking tower at the Brussels Airport site. This modern parking facility represents an important step in the further development of a future-oriented and sustainable airport infrastructure.

C-biotech and C-ground are joining forces with OVMB, a subsidiary of Eiffage Construction BeLux, for an innovative soil remediation project in the Port of Ghent. In a fully enclosed and controlled greenhouse environment, the partners are investigating how industrial hemp, combined with soil additives, can accelerate the removal of PFAS from the soil without destroying its structure and quality. The pilot project is a European first and has the potential to grow into a sustainable and cost-effective alternative for the remediation of these persistent “forever chemicals.” PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are highly persistent chemical compounds that contaminate soil and water worldwide and are linked to serious health risks. Belgium is considered one of the largest hotspots in Europe. The need for innovative, scalable solutions is therefore particularly urgent.

Cordeel Headquarters Temse and Cordeel Headquarters Hoeselt are joining forces to operate as Cordeel Belgium starting in 2026. Together with Bernard Construction, led by Philippe Beaujean and now fully integrated within the group, they form a unified construction collective with national strength, ready to take on an even more prominent role within the Belgian construction sector. To reinforce that ambition, the newly formed entity is also appointing Thomas De Loof (ex-Dell) as co-CEO, alongside the familiar face of current CEO Kevin De Hainaut.

This month, an important milestone was reached on our project along Koning Boudewijnlaan in Vilvoorde: the topping-out ceremony. In the construction sector, this is a traditional event that takes place once a building has reached its highest point. It is a moment to celebrate the hard work of all partners involved and to look ahead to the completion of the project.

Cordeel Belgium is investing in the Muysenhuys nature restoration project, which is giving nature and water back their space – a concrete step towards tackling the climate and biodiversity crisis.
