Conversion and new construction of WDT Hangar in Antwerp
The old train repair yard in Park Spoor Noord in Antwerp was redeveloped into offices, an event hall, a restaurant and an indoor sports centre. A new sports hall was also constructed. We took care of the structural work, finishing and technical building services.

Challenging project
The renovation and reinforcement of the striking metal truss roof made this a challenging project. We measured and checked the existing situation accurately, after which we carried out repair and conservation work. Limited access to the building made the work, which had to take place at a high altitude, even more difficult. The renovated complex is now home to an event hall of 5,320 m² and includes 775 m² for office accommodation, 785 m² for logistics operations and 1,170 m² for sports facilities. The new sports hall with its striking Kalwall roof and façade cladding covers an area of 4,735 m².
