Vita Den Uyt

At a beautiful, green location on the outskirts of Mol city centre lies a sports park with outdoor swimming pool. Vita has developed a sports complex here that connects indoor and outdoor sports, while preserving the green character of the surroundings.

Natural materials for sporty atmosphere

To integrate the existing outdoor swimming pool with the new indoor pool, Vita created a compact structure that also serves as a gatehouse between the swimming area and the other sports facilities. Due to the combination of neutral, natural materials, hues of white and colour accents, the complex’s interior has a fresh and sporty appearance. The perforated wooden roof and wall panelling provide the space with good insulation and excellent acoustics.

Appearance of interior extended outdoors

The sporty appearance has been extended to the outside of the building. The glazed façade cladding and facing concrete enhances the character of the basement, while the wooden ceilings and veranda slats refer to the interior. The veranda, an outdoor area, is thereby absorbed, as it were, in the interior of the sports complex.
