New headquarters for Dow Chemical, Benelux

Dow’s premises next to the Western Scheldt Tunnel is the eye-catcher of the new Maintenance Value Park developed and built by Cordeel. The project consists of an office designed for 870 employees and a workshop for 47 people next door. As the principal contractor, we were responsible for both the structural design and the coordination of building activities.

Accommodation problem

For safety reasons, all Dow Chemical companies and support services had to vacate the petrochemical plant. We provided excellent alternative accommodation by developing the adjacent Maintenance Value Park which meant that the various parties could continue working a short distance away from the plant. Together with GROUP A, we designed a solution to house all Dow employees under one roof. All office functions, which were initially on the site, are now in a shared high-quality, sustainable building.

High safety standards

The building offers Dow employees a safe and comfortable place to work, which complies with prevailing regulations. Safety is of paramount importance for both Dow and Cordeel. Since the engineering phase, we have therefore been keeping strict account of various safety precautions for the construction and usage of the building.
